Patterns are stamped or stencilled into fresh concrete to replicate brick, stone, or tile. Combined with colour, it creates a high-end look at a fraction of the cost of natural materials.

Council Crossover Requirements

A driveway crossover is the section where your driveway crosses the council footpath and kerb to connect with the road. In Brisbane, new crossovers or modifications to existing crossovers require approval from Brisbane City Council. The council specifies maximum width, construction standards, and stormwater requirements.

Exposed aggregate is the most popular driveway finish in Brisbane. It provides excellent grip in wet conditions (important for Brisbane's heavy rain), hides minor imperfections, and the natural stone aggregate creates an attractive, textured surface. It also handles Brisbane's heat expansion well and ages gracefully.
If your driveway connects to a public road, you will need a crossover (vehicle crossing) approval from Brisbane City Council. The council specifies crossover width, location, and construction standards. If you are replacing an existing driveway in the same location, approval may not be needed, but check with your concreter.
A standard residential concrete driveway in Brisbane should be 100mm (4 inches) thick with steel reinforcement mesh (SL72 or SL82).
